Naturally, you can clean up your bike at our hotel, then lock it away in special storage rooms. Overnight, we are happy to wash your biking clothes for free, so that you can get back on your bike next morning all fresh and clean after a good night’s rest. Many attractions in Bad Hofgastein are within walking distance. Perfect to relax and enjoy the wellness experiences awaiting you at Alpentherme Gastein. Gastein’s tours are diverse. Ideal for bikers with sporting ambitions, laid-back cyclists, trekkers as well as two-wheeling families. Extensive, minimal-to-no traffic and clearly signposted. Explore the entire region perched on a bike saddle. Past meadows in bloom. Through fragrant forests. Alongside crystal-clear mountain lakes to wild and romantic alpine pastures. Make a refreshment stop or two at trailside mountain huts. A hearty snack will quickly see you pedaling off into the distance with renewed vigor. After all, you have clearly earned a short break.

Begin your ride in the north of Gastein Valley. Just beyond the Klammstein Tunnel in Dorfgastein. The smallest of Gastein’s tourism communities, it has managed to preserve much of its authentic village character. Feel first-hand the unique atmosphere here as you pedal through the center of town heading south. Keep following the Gastein Bike Path for 8 kilometers until you come to the spa town of Bad Hofgastein. Now along the Kur Promenade and past the AlpenKurpark. Before continuing in the direction of Bad Gastein, we will be glad to refresh you with cool drinks, snacks and regional specialties in restaurant “DasFRANZ” at our partner hotel. The hotel’s heated terrace is the most centrally located front-row seat in Bad Hofgastein.

Afterwards, you will find the bike ride to Bad Gastein a lot easier. Picturesque and almost flat, the bike path will bring you to the golf course. From there, it is only about a 200-meter vertical gain to your destination: the town center of Bad Gastein. Families with small children might simply prefer to ride individual sections of the Gastein Bike Path. And along the entire route, you will discover countless inns and outdoor restaurants where you can take the occasional timeout, relax and enjoy.

This fantastic tour from Salzburg City of Mozart to the sea in Grado, Italy, takes you on a 425 km journey lasting one week. Along the Salzach River Valley through Gastein Valley as far as Böckstein. From there, by train to Mallnitz. The train ride up to 1,191 meters above sea level takes only eleven minutes. From there, the bike tour leads you all the way across Carinthia to Spittal a.d. Drau, Villach and Arnoldstein, and to the border between Austria and Italy.

Having arrived in Italy, you will follow an abandoned rail line through impressive countryside, via Tarvisio and Gemona to Udine and Aquileia. At this point, you will leave the mountains behind. On your way to Grado on the Adriatic coast, you will be able to explore idyllic towns, impressive sightseeing attractions and imposing natural landscapes. Until the sea greets you with a balmy breeze and a salty taste in your mouth.
